Hole tables are a useful means of defining the size and location of a hole. A hole table works much like a software spreadsheet. Holes are represented as rows in the table and dimensions and other properties of the holes as columns. Both circles and arcs are supported in hole tables.

You can create hole tables based on the following hole table types:

  • All Holes.  Create a hole table that displays all holes in the table regardless if the hole sizes are the same as separate row items.
  • Hole Sizes.  Create a hole table that displays same size holes as a single row entry on the table. Hole location is usually not set for this type of table.
  • Holes and Sizes.  Create a hole table that displays holes and sizes. Rows will be created listing same size hole first with their locations and then the next size hole and its locations.

Creating A Hole Table

To Create a Hole Table:
  1. Select Hole Table from the Create pull-down menu.
  2. Move the cursor in the drawing and left-click to place the hold table.
  3. Select the X Origin location for the Hole Table.
  4. Select the Y Origin location for the Hole Table.
    Note:
The X and Y selections must have an intersection location (Theoretical or actual) and they must be perpendicular.
  5. Select the desired holes to be included in the hole table by selecting the hole or quadrant points or by box selecting a set of holes.
  6. Select the Select Tool or hit ESC to exit the Hole Table creation to finish.
