Remember to turn off the Animation in order to work with the regular tools in IRONCAD. It is easy to forget that the animation is "active".
The Anchor point is a vital part of the Animation and is in fact what is being animated. The geometry is stuck with the Anchor Point and must follow it.
The position and orientation of the Anchor Point will also control in which direction the animation goes;
- The long leg always points in the (blue) Z direction of the Anchor Point. This is also the Height direction or Pan rotation.
- The short leg always points in the (red) X direction of the Anchor Point. This is also the Length direction or Tilt rotation.
- The third (hidden) leg always points in the (green) Y direction of the Anchor Point. This is also the Width direction or Roll rotation.
