IronCAD will run on many different PC specs, even low powered ones. However if you are looking for good performance, we recommend the following specifications.
Recommended
CPU: 2Ghz or higher.
The single core clock speed (e.g. 2.4Ghz), is far more important for IronCAD than having more processor cores. For example a dual-core 4Ghz will likely perform better than an octa-core 3.5Ghz.
RAM: 16GB or more
Note IronCAD can be run on less RAM than this, it is not essential, but a good baseline for perfomance is 16GB. If working on very large models or using many other programs at the same time, 32GB RAM might be worthwhile.
GPU: 2GB or more dedicated graphics (Nvidia Quadro is preferred).
Note IronCAD can also run without a dedicated graphics card (Intel Graphics), but for high performance, a dedicated graphics card is recommended. IronCAD can run on both gaming and workstation graphics cards, but for best performance a workstation graphics card is recommended. For large or complex modelling, more graphics memory (e.g. 6GB) will likely result in much better performance.
