Sometimes, it might be hard to see the difference between a Part and an IntelliShape (a feature), because the Part only consists of one single IntelliShape. The earlier you learn the "color language" of different objects in IRONCAD and to really see the difference between Parts and IntelliShapes, the better all will work out for you! Many new users have created complex frames or machinery which are built "single" parts

An IntelliShape is a actually Feature - but it has been added a "little extra" functionality, mostly unique to IRONCAD. By adding properties like Surface Reshaping (tapered sides etc), Bevel (Blend, Chamfer etc) and Shell settings - you can create, quite few but very rich, features. By storing them in Catalogs you get a lot of powerful geometrical control by drag and drop!
